Basic Information

• Throughout your time with us, our experienced skippers & guides will assist you in all your fishing needs.

• Safety gear and a safety briefing will be given to everyone prior to boarding

• By law in Japan, all passengers must wear a life jacket at all times

• We have jackets, trousers and boots available for all guests that would like them. 

• All tours are suitable for people fully mobile under their own ability

• We operate special tours for wheelchair users and disabled customers please contact us for details

• Don’t forget your camera - However, we will take photos for you.

Important Information

• Safety explanation/boarding & disembarkation time is included in tour time and takes approx 25 minutes.

• For those that feel seasick please take motion sickness tablets before the tour.

• Please note there are no toilet facilities on our boats and all customers should therefore ensure they have visited the bathroom prior to boarding

釣りに最適な時間帯はいつですか？

朝と夕方は比較的、穏やかでビギナーのお客様には、お勧めです。

もちろん穏やかな海でも魚は、釣れます。

Which time of day is best to go Fishing?

Typically the water is the calmest in the morning and late afternoon but this is also when it can be best for fishing. The water usually gets a little bumpier during the day due to wind. But as we hunt for the fish anytime is actually ok.

釣った魚を入れるための、クーラーボックスを持参する必要がありますか？

はい、氷が入ったクーラーボックスをご持参ください。 

ボートには、お客様の魚を保管するために、1つクーラーボックスを積んでありますので、お使いください。下船後は、お客様各自のクーラーボックスに魚を入れましょう。

Should i bring a cooler box for the fish i catch?

Yes please bring your own cooler box with some ice packs with you. For those that do not. we will provide one for storage of the fish while on the boat and then transfer a plastic bag for the fish at the end of the tour.  

釣った魚を持ち帰ることはできますか？

はい、勿論できますが。必要最小限のみの魚を持ち帰っていただいております。沢山釣れた場合は、リリースをしてもらいます。

Can i keep the fish i catch?

Yes, you can, but the captain will always reserve the right to keep within the Japanese fishing rules and regulations on specific fish species.

釣った魚を地元のレストランで捌いてくれたりしますか？

はい。料金かかりますが、美味しく料理してくれるお店がありますよ！ただ常に可能であるとは限らないため、要相談です。

Is there a local restaurant that can help prepare the fish for dinner?

Yes but there is a charge for the preparation & it is not always possible, so it is a case-by-case situation.

私は初心者ですが、ヒラマサみたいな大きな魚を釣ることは、可能ですか？

はい、もちろん可能性はあります。

I`m a beginner is it still possible for me to try and catch such a big fish like a yellow tail (Kingfish) ?

Yes, our guides will show you the technique and way to handle this style of fishing, we are a premium fishing experience so our guides have expert tuition for you. You can fish with much confidence by the end.

行けば必ず魚は、釣れますか？

必ずとの保証はできません。

Do we always catch fish ?

It is not guaranteed to catch a fish, but you will only have a chance if you go and learn the skills of how to do it, but when you feel the pull of a giant fish it will stay with you forever. We always try our best for our customers.

船酔いする可能性はありますか？

RIBボートは、船酔いしにくいように設計されておりますが、船酔いや乗り物酔いを経験したことがあるお客様は、酔い止めを乗船30分前に飲むことをお勧めしております。

How likely am I to get sea-sick?

Our boats are low profile which reduces the chance of seasickness. For those who are sensitive and want to take precautions, we advise taking motion sickness tablets 30 mins before boarding.

シーファリジャパンは、天気などの影響によるキャンセル費用を請求致しません。

What is the policy regarding cancellations and rescheduling?

SeafariJapan retains the right to cancel any tour at any time due to weather or sea conditions & in these circumstances a full refund will be given. We will do our best to help you reschedule your trip as soon as we can.

チケットは事前予約した方がいいですか？

事前予約をお勧めいたします。チケットの数には限りがございますので、お早めの予約をお勧めいたします。ホームページの予約画面にていつでもご予約可能です！

Should I pre-book my ticket?

Highly advisable!  With a limited number of spaces for passengers on all our tours, we sell out very quickly. We suggest booking as far in advance as you can to guarantee your desired day and time. Information on how you can make reservations for any of our tours is on our site.

ツアーの日時が変更になった場合、いつお知らせが来ますか？

お客様には、天気などの影響で日時が変更になった場合、早急にお知らせいたします。

2名以上のお客様が乗船しない場合は、日時変更になりますことをご了承ください。

また、悪天候、海上異常などの影響が見られる場合は安全のため、日時を変更させていただく可能性があります。予めご了承ください。

When will I know if my tour will get rescheduled?

We give all our customers as much notice as possible about any changes we need to make to your reservation. We have a minimum requirement of 2 passengers for a public tour. If we do not have enough passengers we reserve the right to reschedule or cancel the tour if necessary. We also try our best to avoid bad weather or other marine issues and reserve the right to reschedule or cancel any tour due at any time.

ツアーの年齢制限等はありますか？

規約に記載されている通り、お客様ご自身で、船に乗船できることができる必要がございます。

乗船が困難なお客様には通常のツアーではなく、他のツアーも運行しておりますので、そちらもご確認ください。ご不明な点は、お問い合わせください。

Is there an age requirement for tours?

Our policy states that on any of the regular open public tours you must be able to board under your own ability without help from others.

We run other specialty tours or offer a fully charted experience for those with difficulties in boarding themselves please contact us directly for further information.

雨天の場合はどうなりますか？

雨天の場合でも、基本的には通常運航いたします。雷などで安全に運航することができないと判断された場合は、キャンセルとなります。判断が決定次第、お客様にご連絡いたします。

通常通り運航する場合はお知らせ致しません。

What happens if it rains?

We typically do not cancel tours due to rain unless there will be unsafe conditions such as lightning. We provided wet weather gear to all of our customers to ensure the comfort of your trip with us. We will endeavor to contact you if we need to cancel or reschedule your trip.

Is it safe?

YES! Our boats are Rigid-hull Inflatable boat “RIB”  (a hard hull surrounded by inflated pontoons for extra stability). RIBs have long been used by the military and coastguard as rescue boats due to their superior handling abilities in near coastal shallow water. Our boats are produced in the UK with the highest of standards & then re rechecked and upgraded to conform with Japanese maritime laws & our vessels are fully licensed & insured

服装や持ち物は？

暖の取れる洋服、靴（スニーカー）をお勧めしております。状況に応じて、防水のジャケットや、長靴をお貸しいたしますのでご安心ください。

冬季には、ニット帽、手袋などのご持参をお勧めしております。

飲み物（乗り場付近に自動販売機もございます）

晴れている日は、日焼け止めのご持参をお勧めいたします。

カメラのご持参もお願いいたします。

What to wear & bring?

Wear warm and practical clothes + shoes, we provide wet weather jackets, trousers, and boots when needed. Please do not wear a dress or skirt. We suggest a warm wooly hat & gloves, especially in the winter months.

A bottle of water, we have a vending machine close to the docks for your convenience. Sunscreen during the warmer months.

Your camera, and of course, a big smile on your tour will be very enjoyable.

乗船何分前に到着すればいいですか？

お客様のご予約時間の15分前に現地に到着し、お手洗いなどを済ませていただけると嬉しいです。

駐車場から乗り場まで10分程度かかりますので、時間に余裕を持ってお越しください。

Practical Information?

We suggest you arrive at least 15 minutes before your booked tour time to allow for the toilet and get organized.

Make sure you know where our car parking is and allow 10 minutes to walk down to the marina

We can accept cash or credit cards for all bookings.

手荷物、貴重品に関して?

お客様の貴重品、お手荷物を預かることはできません。ツアーに必要な物のみをご持参ください。

大きな手荷物は、船に乗せることはできません。

ガイドのお知らせがある場合のみ、カメラ、携帯電話をご使用いただけます。

乗船中、お客様の荷物または貴重品など海への落下に関しては一切責任を負いませんので、予めご了承ください。携帯電話や、カメラなどは、ストラップをつけることを強くお勧めいたします。

Valuables and personal belongings?

We can not accept any responsibility for any items please only bring along what is absolutely needed the tour

We  do not accept any large bags on board

Do not try to use cameras & other devices while the boat is in motion, our guides will let you know when it is safe to use them.

We can not accept any responsibility for lost items overboard, once it goes into the sea it is gone forever.

We suggest you have an overhead strap for your phone or camera device and keep it on at all times. 

運航速度?

この質問はよく聞かれる質問です。運航に使用するボートは、とても早いスピードで運航することが可能ですが、通常のツアーでは、最高速度に達することはありません。運航日の、天候、お客様の年齢層をみて、クルーが速度おの判断を行います。通常運行の場合は、快適な速度で運行いたします。また、天候が良ければ、クルーがお客様の様子を伺い、スピードを加速する場合もございます。

Speeds?

We get asked about this a lot, our boats have the ability to go very fast although we never do that under regular tour situations (only during full charter) instead of our Captains, through years of experience are able to take many factors into consideration like ages of passengers, ocean state, wind, current location, etc to determine our speed. For most of the trip we are moving at a comfortable speed & only if conditions allow during our open water legs will your captain increase the speed to an exhilarating level.

お客様のカメラはご自身で管理していただきます。

乗船中は、首掛けストラップのご使用を強くお勧めいたします。

大きなカメラを持参してもいいですか？- もちろんです！

アクションカメラ- 最適です。

スマホのカメラ - もちろんご使用できます！しかし、風邪の影響などで、落下の危険性がございますので、ご注意ください。

アドバイス - 船長または、クルーからの指示があるまでは、撮影を行わないようにお願いいたします。突然の揺れによる落下防止のためです。

Camera?

Most important is making sure you have a way to secure them - we suggest using an overhead strap on all devices.

Can I bring my big camera - Yes 100%

Action Camera - these are great

Phone Camera  - yes but best especially careful as they are easy to drop or get caught by the wind.

Advice - don’t try to film while we are moving, wait for our captains or guides to say it is safe to use your camera.

Do you get fully booked?

The answer is yes, especially in the peak season

We suggest you book as early as possible.

We do have a waiting list where if we have a cancelation we call the next customers on our list and offer those spots to them. Do let us know if you would like to be put on this list for a specific date.

Many of our clients ask us if it's appropriate to tip the guide or captain here in Japan. Our answer is yes of course it will make them very happy. Their job is to make your trip as enjoyable as possible & we pride ourselves in training them to give you the best experience possible. You tipping them is the best way to show them personally you loved what they did.
